My 3 year old redwood deck had a finish on it that failed -- it shredded and peeled within the first year. I let it go another year. This year I found Rich he came out right away and gave me an estimate and explained how he thought it should be tackled. I gave the go-ahead and he was on-site every day he said he would be. He scrubbed the deck and sanded the entire thing to get ALL the finish off before he applied the new stain/sealer.. He worked very hard sanding for 4 days. The deck looks fantastic, and today's rain bounced off it like it should. I recommend Rich for his knowledge, honesty, and work ethic. I thought my deck was beyond repair as it has been neglected for the past 10 years and had some serious sun damage. I called Rich to come check it out and see what my options were to either restore the deck or get it replaced. He test sanded a couple of areas of the deck and determined that the deck could be saved. I have to say, Rich is a true craftsman who takes pride in the work that he does. If your deck is in need of some serious deck love, Rich Becerra is your guy! He gave our old beat-up deck some serious attention and it looks amazing now. It's not often these days, sadly very rare in fact, that you find a tradesman (never mind a company owner) who cares about his work like Rich. He explained everything he thought should be done, and gave us all kinds of options, but didn't push anything on us.
